THE NURSERY
Chin puppies weigh only a few ounces
at birth. Tiny, fragile and helpless.
These little ones are 6 days old.
We provide them with extra warmth
and safety. We monitor their weight
and health daily.
Mom dose the rest for the first few
weeks.
As they grow, we make sure they are
loved, held and cuddled to start the
socialization process.
They are soon introduced to many new
sounds, the adult dogs, and a variety
of toys...learning new things daily.
They are naturally curious, and
constantly explore new places, things
and situations.
Chin pups need to stay with their mom
and litter mates, for at least the first 12
weeks of life. It is an important time for
proper socialization.
As well as learning 'the rules of play'
from their litter mates, mom has much
to teach them about life as a Chin....
....as do the other adult dogs. In the
first 12 weeks, they learn much of what
they need to know about being a Chin.
The end result of weeks of careful
socializing by both dogs and humans,
is happy, healthy well adjusted pups,
ready to continue learning in their new
homes.
